My new house

Recently, mummy and daddy have been very busy with our new house in OUG therefore have got no time to update this blog or even take picture of me.

I was busy digging daddy's wallet for new toy. Can i play with this RM50 note?
Some preview of my house. Still need to do a lot of cleaning up but i'm shifting next week! Can we make it on time?

Mummy promised to get me a bicycle once we move into this new place as there are ample space for me to move around.


I'm going to miss Isaac koko and didi koko since aunty lan no longer take care of me after shifting to OUG.

Still eating porridge everyday. Loves eating Meiji biscuit, bread and oranges. Doesn't like kiwi and oatmeal.

Highlights
Squat and stand without holding.

2 days before 14 months, i started to walk independently with extended arms trying to balance myself whilst walking.

Blabbering a lot these days and talk back to protest when obstruct from touching certain items. When i want something, i will shriek and scream.

Understand some of mama's command. eg. "put your pecifier back into your mouth", "drink your water", "hug mama" and etc.

Learning to share especially sharing my pecifier (i'm willing to share my precious!). When dada said "gimme your pecifier", i'm so willing to share and stuff it into dada's mouth.

Drinking more water from a straw.

Loves opening cabinets and finding interesting stuff inside.

Took my chickenpox jab without a single cry. I looked so steady as it has not bother me at all. Mama was so puzzled!

Whenever i see dada and mama hugging, i will push dada away.

Oct 2008 - Bukit Tinggi

Since it was a long Raya holiday, dada and mama decided to bring me to Bukit Tinggi. We stayed in a one bedroom suite at Colmar Tropicale.

After checked in, we proceed to Japanese Village. As there is nothing much to do at the Japanese Village besides sweating, we decided to go to the rabbit farm.

At first i was so scared of rabbits but after a few force by mama to touch the rabbit, my bad intention takes place. Now i want to hit the rabbit instead but mama said cannot since they are so cute.

Wine tasting! No lah. It was dragon fruit enzeme but mama finished it and gave me the plastic cup only.

Sep 2008 Hand, foot and mouth disease

Isaac ko ko(same babysitter) has gotten the hand, foot and mouth disease from his kindergarden called Pink, in Puchong and transmitted to both me and didi koko. Aunty lan realised i have rashes on my tougue 5 days after Isaac ko ko was incubated from coming to aunty lan's house. Didi koko got it a day before me. Doctor said my throat was full with rashes and advised mama to give me cold milk or worst come to worst put ice-cream in the milk for me to drink.

I may look active and cheerful but when it comes to drinking milk and medicine, that's the trickiest part. As my mouth developed ulsers, i was so reluctant to drink milk from the bottle. Mama and aunty lan have to spoon feed me with cold milk and battled with me when feeding medicine. I have 1,2,3 or more medicine to drink after each milk session. I woke up every night and cried. Mama sorry, i know i'm giving you sleepless night. Now i've recovered but still a bit phobia towards milk.

My 1st birthday - Aug 2008

Mama said according to the old wives' tale we should celebrate birthday earlier than the actual date but not later. Mama does not know the reason behind it but with the thought of just follow only.

Since my birthday falls on a friday, mama intends to make it 5 days earlier but at the end it was postponed to 2 days past my birthday as dada does not want to miss the Olympic Final badminton match between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei which turn out to be a dissapointment. On the other hand, grandma Betty (popo's sister) has won 2 tickets to have lunch/dinner with some tvb actors/actresses from the movie called "Heart of Greed". Therefore, popo has been invited by grandma Betty.

We had a very simple celebration at Choong Wah Restaurant in Puchong. As usual, we invite tai pak and pak leong, yi pak and his family, mah mah, popo, kong kong and jui jui.

"Clinginess"

Of late, i have found out new tactics on how to stay clingy to mama. Whenever someone is trying to carry me, i will hold tautly on mama's shoulder or clothes. Alternatively, pretend sleeping on mama's chest. The last resort, cry out loud!

Food attack!

Somehow, i think i have inherited from dada for being a food lover or maybe dada has trained me to become an "eater" since i constantly see him holding some "food".

I have started avidly watching every morsel of food dada is eating and looking pathetically desperate. Sometimes, i would go to the extend of climbing dada in order to clutch on some "food".

Mama couldn't give me the whole thing to hold for myself in fear that i might choke myself.

At 11 months, dada is having a hard time stopping me from stealing his food as i will make those snorting noises and lunge on whatever food dada is holding. Dada managed to chomp on a bit of whatever he was eating and gave it to me when he was distracted and i would screamed when he took it away.

Of course having all those numerous attacked on dada, i now weighed approximately 9.7kg or has it reduced due to the "fake measles". I will weigh again during my 1 year old vaccination next month.

July 2008 - Roseola (fake measles) or measles

2/7/08 (wed)

Aunty Lan called mama at around 6 pm saying i had fever and advised mama to bring me to the pediatrician. Since mama was just working nearby at her client's place, she packed her stuff and picked me up immediately.

Doctor Chan said i had mild fever and my throat was a bit red. He gave me medication for fever and inflamation for the throat.

4/7/08 (friday)

My fever was on and off. Mama brought me to Dr Chan again. This round, Dr. Chan gave me another type of medication for fever and antibiotic as standby in case my fever above 38C.

5/7/08(saturday)

Fever subsided. Rashes appeared on my forehead, appetite decreased and i passed motion few times - dark green in colour. Mama called Dr Chan and was advised to monitor the rashes. If rashes appear on other parts of my body, mama have to bring me back to Dr. Chan.

6/7/08 (Sunday)

Rashes appeared on my chest, stomach....... eventually to hands and legs. Dada and mama brought me to Dr Chan again, Dr Chan said i had fake measles and the rashes will fade away in few days time. I was given a bottle of calamine to apply on skin, culture and wind medication for drinking.

7/7/08 (Monday) - 9/7/08 (wed)

More and more rashes. My face was as red as birthmark as the rashes joined. Rashes mainly on my face, chest and stomach. Mama was in doubt whether it was Roseola or Measles. Aunty Lan too thought it might be measles instead of Roseola. Anyway, both of them have come to the conclusion to treat it as measles, meaning no bath and have to wear long sleeves and long pants.

10/7/08 (Thur) - 11/7/08 (friday)

Rashes started to fade away. My face is almost back to my original pretty face but not quite there yet.

12/7/08 (Saturday)

Fake measles reemerged! My cheeks, chest, back, hands and legs were full with rashes! Other than this, no fever. Again fake measles was back! This round more rashes, rashes appeared in areas that were not previously covered.

2nd attack!

15/7/08 (Tuesday)

Still have rashes but not as much as the 2nd round. Hopefully no more 3rd round of "fake measles".

June 2008 - Phuket Trip

Review of Laguna Beach Resort

Room: 4 out of 5 (Still ok but the furniture need to refurbish. The bathroom is very nice but slighly small. The aircond is not very cold. Mama woke up sweating in the middle of the night).

Service: 4 out of 5

Value: 3.5 out of 5 (With 3561 baht, mama expect more)

Cleanliness: 4 out of 5 (housekeeping clean up twice a day)

Pool: 5 out of 5 (Huge, fun and nice but no toy toy for me)

This hotel is recommended for family with children (kids will enjoy the pool) but do not want to pay the price of a 5 star hotel like Sheraton, Jw marriott. Expect to stay in Laguna area as the resort is far from all the main beaches (patong, kata and karon) and attractions (phuket town, patong and Fantasea) unless you rent a car.

June 2008 - Phuket Trip Day 5

It was very windy and raining in the early morning on the last day of our trip. We should have slept longer.And yet, we still got up ready for breakfast as we need to catch our flight at 1.30pm.

June 2008 - Phuket Trip Day 4

We dropped off the ferry taxi at the nearest jetty to Lotus and had dinner there. I was too sleepy to pose.

I'm awake! At the right time to take a snap of this yellowish, orangy and reddish sunset. Very nice!

Appertizer - satay, onion rings, popiah, prawn cake and mango kerabu.

Garlic fried squid/calamari and mixed vege.

Steam grouper in soya sauce. Grouper is at 75 baht per 100 grams.

This meal cost dada another 1100 baht, inclusive of one apple juice, water and rice.

Resort shuttle back to our hotel. We both look very tired.
